All, We are pleased to announce the release of OCFS2 TOOLS 1.2.2. This release is fully compatible with OCFS2 1.2.1+. The summary of changes in this release are as follows: * tunefs.ocfs2: Volume offline resize (growth) * tunefs.ocfs2: Regenerate volume uuid * debugfs.ocfs2: Commands bmap, findpath, ncheck and decode added * fsck.ocfs2: Fixed bugs * o2cb.init: Configure allows user to set O2CB_HEARTBEAT_THRESHOLD * ocfs2.init: Ensures proper shutdown on RHEL4 * o2cb_ctl: Fixed online add node bug Please refer to the News section in OCFS2 Tools project page for the full list of changes in this release. SLES users will need to contact Novell to obtain the binary RPMs for this release. The source RPM has been made available to Novell. The RPMs for the Red Hat's EL4 on x86, x86_64, ia64, ppc and s390x architectures are available in the Download section. NOTE: There is a known bug in this release. When one upgrades (rpm -U) the tools rpm, the o2cb and ocfs2 services are unregistered and will need to be registered manually. (To be precise, the bug is in the older 1.2.1 tools rpm but affects users upgrading to the newer 1.2.2.) Use chkconfig --add <service> to register the services. # rpm -Uvh ocfs2-tools-1.2.2-1.i386.rpm # chkconfig --add o2cb # chkconfig --add ocfs2 Ensure the services are active using chkconfig --list <service>.
