Thats why I was waiting for the next update 2.8.0-3 to 2.8.0-8. If necessary I will compile a new RPM from source but because I thought the binary was monitored and maintained I expected it to eventually be resolved. Will have a look at it again tomorrow.

The upgrade from 2.7 to 2.8 prevents nut-server from connecting to > the UPS.The only change I had to make when going from the official 2.7 RPMs to 2.8 was to change from starting "nut-driver.servuice" to starting each UPS's driver individually, e.g. "nut-driver at ups1-1.service", "nut-driver at ups2-1.service"... Other than that the official 2.8 RPMs are working just fine on both of my CentOS Stream 8 environments. nomad
