I have updated the IETF draft to version 01: the main changes are

  B.1. Changes in version 01
  1. Clause 4.1 There is exactly one newline at the end of commands and
  responses.
  2. Added descriptions to variables in Annex A.

I would like your advice on Appendix A.

1. Should this section list all the variables which appear in file 
$NUT/data/cmdvartab ?

2. Should this appendix be normative in some later "standard"?

My inclination is to choose 1. Yes, 2. No.
