There is some strangeness, yes.  It really does seem to work though.
I can try a bit more testin.

Just a few kB from the beginning - a few seconds at most. Usually a text log
file like that will compress pretty well with gzip. If not, pastebin works too,
but doesn't stay with the list archive.
