Hi, I am using a laptop with 40 series card. Currently if the discrete GPU sits idle for some time, the display connected to it will start to lag badly. This problem is also present when both displays are connected to the NVIDIA GPU and using proprietary drivers, but can be mitigated by locking the GPU frequency using "nvidia-smi -lgc 2000,40000". This stops the discrete GPU from lowering its clock speed and results in a smooth desktop experience. I wonder if this is possible with nouveau? Thanks! -- -- Sincerely, Kimiblock -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed...
