Were you expecting something different to happen?

Here's my analysis... you're forcing the X server to load nouveau, even
though
the primary (i.e. vgaarb) GPU is the intel one. The NVIDIA GPU does not have
any connectors or display hardware attached, and so xf86-video-nouveau can't
load.
