[Nouveau] [Bug 37085] New: HDMI thinks it works but TV says "no signal"
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=37085 Summary: HDMI thinks it works but TV says "no signal" Product: xorg Version: unspecified Platform: x86 (IA32) OS/Version: Linux (All) Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Driver/nouveau AssignedTo: nouveau at lists.freedesktop.org ReportedBy: n.vivia at gmail.com QAContact: xorg-team at lists.x.org It used to work. I'm sure. I used to be able to properly connect my HDMI TV. Then I upgraded Ubuntu to Natty, installed a second partition with the proprietary drivers in case I need audio, and linked both home directories, which may have messed with some setting. Now, I connect my HDMI TV and get this nice pop-up which asks me to reconfigure my screen settings. I set the TV's resolution to 1920x1080. The system thinks it works, I get a huge desktop and lose my mouse pointer when it goes beyond the right edge, but the TV says "no signal". My xorg.conf and dmesg output are here: http://pastebin.com/TvGCPS01 I am using the minimal 4-line xorg.conf, but the same happens with no xorg.conf at all. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug.
