[Nouveau] VBIOS Dump of GeForce 8500 GT due to "TMDS table revision 2.0 not currently supported"
Hi, Hopefully I am doing this right. I am following the instructions at: http://nouveau.freedesktop.org/wiki/TroubleShooting#Kernelmodesettingswitchesoffmonitordisplay.2Cnomoresignal I have a GeForce 8500 GT PCI Express card, which lspci -vnn labels as: 01:00.0 VGA compatible controller [0300]: nVidia Corporation G86 [GeForce 8500 GT] [10de:0421] (rev a1) (prog-if 00 [VGA controller]) Subsystem: eVga.com. Corp. Device [3842:c793] Flags: bus master, fast devsel, latency 0, IRQ 25 Memory at fd000000 (32-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=16M] Memory at 80000000 (64-bit, prefetchable) [size=256M] Memory at fa000000 (64-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=32M] I/O ports at ac00 [size=128] Expansion ROM at fe7e0000 [disabled] [size=128K] Capabilities: <access denied> Kernel driver in use: nouveau Kernel modules: nouveau, nvidiafb This is with the arch linux standard kernel, but the same things seems to happen with latest kernel.org git as well. I see in the FAQ that I am supposed to try the latest freedesktop.org git instead, and I will go about trying that next if there is any hope of it working, but I've attached my vbios in case it helps. Any other information that would be helpful, or anything else to try other than the latest git releases? Thanks, Kevin -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed...
