Hello. First of all I want to say thank you for Luca, Ben and others who made nouveau possible and even usable as 3d driver! Recently i saw some profiling data on #nouveau and decided to run sysprof (1.1.5) on my own setup, AGP Geforce6200 + AMD Duron 950 Mhz. Kernel used: Linux slax 2.6.36-rc3-i486 #96 SMP Mon Aug 30 07:28:17 MSD 2010 i686 AMD Duron(tm) Processor AuthenticAMD GNU/Linux Mesa used: git master up to commit c3c25a7ab8507c9c6b21137de03b5d94c2420369 (r600: cube mipmap levels are aligned to 8 faces only starting from r7xx) X server used: 1.9.0 xf86-video-nouveau: up to commit 065576d5df0df4da61050d789f548801656b62d5 (dri2: remove explit flush from copy_region() ) Attached profiles as saved by sysprof, bzipped to save space. Q3Demo was run fullscreen, 640x480x32, max texture quality, trilinear. Usually it was around 23-24 fps in this mode (down to 19.1 fps in 1024x768x32). With profiler running it was only 1399 frames, 95.1 seconds: 14.7 fps (demo002), so profile itself may be not very accurate due to lower framerates. glxgears was around 500 fps, windowed (default size). May be not best target for optimizations, due to this insane number of fps. -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed...
