While the behaviour indeed seems odd, the few lines of code in question are a
tad too obvious to be a mistake. So I started to wonder, what is the point of
specifying the chain line in restore --noflush input? If you don't want the
chain to be flushed, you could just omit that line.
Am I missing something? Right now I'm tempted to close this as NOTABUG,
because
the behaviour seems intentional (albeit under-documented).
