[Bug 779] Netfilter on bridge interface containing a defective NIC
https://bugzilla.netfilter.org/show_bug.cgi?id=779 --- Comment #3 from calebc2099 at yahoo.com 2013-07-11 23:25:20 CEST --- (In reply to comment #1)> I am unable to replicate this issue on a 3.10 kernel. Perhaps the "defect in > the NIC" you describe is actually responsible for the corrupt packets you are > seeing? > > Have you tested this on a recent kernel?Have you tried to replicate the problem with a defective NIC? Here is an example of how to replicate the problem: eth0 is okay eth1 is okay eth2 has a defect that requires rx offload to be disabled. bridge eth1 and eth2 as br0 and then arrange computers/interfaces for testing eg. one computer connected via each physical ethernet port. observe simple ping traffic between: 1) computer attached to eth0 and computer attached to eth1. 2) computer attached to eth0 and computer attached to eth2. enable netfilter (eg. use SNAT) & change IP addresses of computers as necessary and repeat above observation. I last tried with Kernel 3.3.5 -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.netfilter.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.
