This appears to be a problem with the router you are using. I suggest
contacting the vendor for support, as who knows what modifications they have
made to the vanilla kernel. If you can reproduce this issue on a kernel.org
kernel, kindly reopen this bug, thanks.

There is no router vendor, as it is generic PC with Ubuntu installed.
However, I can't reproduce the bug so it appears to be fixed.
