[ANN] unicorn 0.98.0 - Rack HTTP server for fast clients and Unix
Unicorn is an HTTP server for Rack applications designed to only serve fast clients on low-latency, high-bandwidth connections and take advantage of features in Unix/Unix-like kernels. Slow clients should only be served by placing a reverse proxy capable of fully buffering both the the request and response in between Unicorn and slow clients. * http://unicorn.bogomips.org/ * mongrel-unicorn at rubyforge.org * git://git.bogomips.org/unicorn.git Changes: Deployments that suspend or hibernate servers should no longer have workers killed off (and restarted) upon resuming. For Linux users of {raindrops}[http://raindrops.bogomips.org/] (v0.2.0+) configuration is easier as raindrops can now automatically detect the active listeners on the server via the new Unicorn.listener_names singleton method. For the pedantic, chunked request bodies without trailers are no longer allowed to omit the final CRLF. This shouldn''t affect any real and RFC-compliant clients out there. Chunked requests with trailers have always worked and continue to work the same way. The rest are mostly small internal cleanups and documentation fixes. See the commit logs for full details. -- Eric Wong
