[Masterview-devel] We are now on Rubyforge.org front page news items, rubyforge mailing lists still not up?, Dave Thomas was interested in our project
I guess they finally added our news item to the front page. Not sure if you had done anything special or whether they just read our news and added it to front. I guess mailing lists are not working, no emails since June 21st. I made a few commits this morning. One to add image_tag and to add support for Mongrel. Rails conference was great! I talked with Dave Thomas and he was interested in the project, wanted me to send him an email after the conference so he can take a look. He also thought Justin Ghetland and Stuart Holloway would be interested. Will fill you in more later. Jeff -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... excellent! No, haven''t done anything since the release, aside from dropping some reminder notes in TODO; ended up fire-fighting a work emergency most of the w/e, so anxious to get back to some MV things soon. Dave Thomas liked the idea? most excellent! Do copy me on mail to him if there''s some followup discusion, would like to hear his feedback. I gave a short talk on MV to my local ocruby group last thursday - just impromptu to a few folks, but they liked it and thought it might fill a real need in the Rails world. I''ve asked for a presentation slot in upcoming mtg to give a prepared presentation when I have a chance to organize some material. Observation on the video: it''s too long. Needs to be about 10 minutes, after that we start losing the audience (like... me! I still haven''t made it through to the end! That''s what happened by my ocruby group when we started watching it as well). Maybe can prune the middle section demonstrating various edits to the templates from std WYSIWYG editor - one or two quick examples (change some text, fiddle a style or layout) would be sufficient to get the idea across. Maybe also one or two diagram shots to depict overview of what''s happening (here''s how your templates fit into rails...) - that could be a good addition to the docs in any case, we can put this on our docs todo list. ~ Deb _____ From: Jeff Barczewski [mailto:jeff.barczewski at gmail.com] Sent: Monday, June 26, 2006 11:53 AM To: dlewis at glaivestone.com; masterview-devel at rubyforge.org Subject: We are now on Rubyforge.org front page news items, rubyforge mailing lists still not up?, Dave Thomas was interested in our project I guess they finally added our news item to the front page.
