Hi all, I think we should push a new release of Mapstraction soon. Before that i''d like to discuss about this pull request : https://github.com/mapstraction/mxn/pull/122 It seems that we don''t handle the same way the click event on markers to opening infowindows with different providers. We should clarify this, and do it the same way with all the providers. One thing i''d like to see in Mapstraction (maybe for v2.1) is the use of standard GeoJSON in addJSON() function like i said in previous messages. What do you think of it ? ++ b_b
Yes, another release soon would be good. One item I''d like to clarify is support for hosting a map on an https page. Regarding GeoJson, I think we should standardise in v2. Similarly for the event model, I think we should remove the legacy eventing as I''m concerned it will lead to confusion. Think we should introduce a dedicated wiki page for this release and the previous one that details these breaking changes with links to docs and downloads. Finally, I''ve put in a request to try and get the Mapstraction build hosted on teamcity.codebetter.com. Will follow it up and, if they''re willing to host it, try and get it up in time to do the release from there. +1 for HTTPS. +1 for a new release and +1 for GeoJson as well. And also, I''ve got a new version of Nokia Maps support in the pipeline, so a question ... Officially Ovi Maps is retired and Nokia Maps replaces this. In real life, calls to the Ovi Maps API are still being serviced, though for how long this will continue is unclear. So, do I obsolete the Ovi Maps support and replace it with Nokia Maps or do I run the two in tandem until Ovi Maps finally dies? My preference is for the latter approach but wanted to throw this out there for comment ... CI build is up: http://teamcity.codebetter.com/project.html?projectId=project215 Just need to tweak some settings so the build number is right and a github commit to the trunk triggers a build and we''ll be good for the release. Not sure about deploying documentation updates yet, will see if it is doable. Now that is nice (and not nice used in the usual pejorative sense either). How does one get to see that CI stuff. Do I just need to sign up for an account? Not looked at all the options yet. I''m the only administrator at the moment so will work out how to add others.
