Mapstraction - Apr 2012 - Mapstraction Digest, Vol 53, Issue 8

On a related info-window note:

Adding a marker with a bubble to say, leaflet, will not open that bubble
when clicked *unless* you add a click handler. However with googlev3, just *
adding* a marker makes it''s info bubble open when clicked.

This means the openBubble event will get fired twice for one click of the
marker.

Hi Andrew,

I ran into this issue with Leaflet and Google last month.  Here''s what
I
did to get my expected behavior when I''m adding a new marker to the
map:

  // Leaflet: ensure bubbles are opened on click
  if (mapstraction.api == ''leaflet'') {
    my_marker.click.addHandler(function(event_type, marker) {
      marker.openBubble();
    });
  } else if (mapstraction.api == ''googlev3'') {
    // Hack for googlev3: close last bubble before opening the next
    my_marker.click.addHandler(function(event_type, marker) {
      if ((mapstraction.dvLastMakerClicked != null)
          && (mapstraction.dvLastMakerClicked != marker)) {
        mapstraction.dvLastMakerClicked.closeBubble();
      }
      mapstraction.dvLastMakerClicked = marker;
    });
  }

For Google, I''m storing the previously clicked marker with an open
bubble
on the mapstraction object.  Not sure if this is a good way to do it, but
it works.
