Is there a problem loading an overlay using a relative URL? I''m trying to load ../myFolder/myKMLFile.xml and it doesn''t work: if I mangle the url to the full http://host.com/folder/myFolder/myKMLFile.xml it does work. Any insight? I know that the Google APIs require publicly accessible URL for KML layers, so they don''t work on localhost or private networks. They probably can''t resolve a relative URL either. -dylan- On Fri, Feb 10, 2012 at 7:36 AM, Julian Tenney < Julian.Tenney at nottingham.ac.uk> wrote:> Is there a problem loading an overlay using a relative URL?**** > > ** ** > > I?m trying to load ../myFolder/myKMLFile.xml**** > > ** ** > > and it doesn?t work: if I mangle the url to the full > http://host.com/folder/myFolder/myKMLFile.xml it does work.**** > > ** ** > > Any insight?**** > > ** ** > > Many thanks,**** > > ** ** > > Julian**** > > This message and any attachment are intended solely for the addressee and > may contain confidential information. Thanks. I''m mangling it up to get the full url, so there''s no real problem, just convenience. Is Mapstraction being maintained and updated as things change? I''m building tools on top of it and need some reassurance that things aren''t going to suddenly stop working... There was a discussion last month regarding updates: http://lists.mapstraction.com/pipermail/mapstraction-mapstraction.com/2012-January/001224.html -dylan- On Mon, Feb 13, 2012 at 5:23 AM, Julian Tenney < Julian.Tenney at nottingham.ac.uk> wrote:> Thanks.
