Hey gang - So what ever happened with the move to git and clearing up the confusion around where this project is housed? I was under the impression a decision was made, so forked the project and have been making my changes there. Git recently launched their organizations feature (free for nonprofits and foss projects), making it an even better choice for running projects like this. Wondering about the same, Is the mailing list the proper place to submit patches? Thanks for poking on this Lev. It would be great to perhaps setup a few hours in the net week for anyone Rhys available to hop onto an IRC channel and we can go through a list of Mapstraction housekeeping discussion and actions. We want to clean up and move the repository, get people able to edit the appropriate site content/examples/master code. And anything else. If so, I''ll setup a doodle to get available times from anyone interested. I''d be down for a IRC session, too. Send out a doodle and let''s see how many of us we can get. --Adam On Fri, Jul 2, 2010 at 9:20 AM, Lev Tsypin <lev at levelos.com> wrote:> Sounds good to me. > > On Jul 2, 2010, at 4:31 AM, Andrew Turner wrote: > > Thanks for poking on this Lev. > > It would be great to perhaps setup a few hours in the net week for anyone > Rhys available to hop onto an IRC channel and we can go through a list of > Mapstraction housekeeping discussion and actions. > > We want to clean up and move the repository, get people able to edit the > appropriate site content/examples/master code. Sorry folks, I had big plans for getting this done but ended up struggling with GitHub and then some things came up so I haven''t been able to spend any more time on it. We just need to get Git synced with Google Code, the issues copied across into Git and then delete the Google Code project altogether and repoint the repo and issue track links on the Mapstraction site to Git. I think the next important step needs to be finishing off the provider support in v2 so it''s up the the same level as v1 and then we can do a build and package it up as a zip with online generated docs. I''ll try to join the IRC chat if possible, I''m in the UK though so it will depend what time you have it.
