[Mapstraction] Function addListener for Marker object not implemented
Hi there! I''m new with Mapstraction library, and I faced with the following problem: In the documentation page you mention that the Marker class has a method "addListener" to bind a callback funcion to an event fired on a Marker. The problem is I found the method is not implemented on the library, it is not even declared. So I''d like to know if I am working with an old version ( I downloaded version 1 from SVN about 15 days ago) or may be the library is in fact incomplete. I hope you guys could give me a solution for this problem. Thanks -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... Hi! I''m a software developer at Bogot?, Colombia. I''m using Mapstraction library but I found that several method and functionality is not implemented, but in the library documentation is specified that is already implemented. Currently I have the problem that the /addListener() /method of /Marker /class is not implemented but I need to use that, could you help me around this issue?, is the library completed?, I use version 1 of Mapstraction. Hi Sergio, sorry to hear you''re having difficulties. I know it''s probably not simple but my advice is to move to v2. I don''t think anyone is still developing v1 good luck Ed 2010/3/10 Sergio Castellanos <sergio.castellanos at meridiangroupsa.com>> Hi! > > I''m a software developer at Bogot?, Colombia. I''d echo Ed''s recommendation, especially for events. Mapstraction V2 has a much more robust event handling system. --Adam 2010/3/10 Ed Freyfogle <edf at sloan.mit.edu>> Hi Sergio, > > sorry to hear you''re having difficulties. Serge, Mapstraction is definitely in need of better documentation right now. Learning from example by the sandbox is probably best right now. For example, here''s a link directly to the CloudMade example: http://mapstraction.appspot.com/#cloudmade --Adam On Wed, Mar 10, 2010 at 10:53 PM, Serge Noiraud <Serge.Noiraud at free.fr>wrote:> Ed Freyfogle a ?crit : > > 2010/3/10 Serge Noiraud <Serge.Noiraud at free.fr>: >> >> >>> Ed Freyfogle a ?crit : >>> >>> >>>> Hi Sergio, >>>> >>>> sorry to hear you''re having difficulties. I don''t want a key. mapstraction is used in a python program with webkit. I don''t want each user to ask for a key : I only work on local files. http://www.gramps-project.org/wiki/index.php?title=Main_Page> > --Adam > > > On Wed, Mar 10, 2010 at 10:53 PM, Serge Noiraud <Serge.Noiraud at free.fr > <mailto:Serge.Noiraud at free.fr>> wrote: > > Ed Freyfogle a ?crit : > > 2010/3/10 Serge Noiraud <Serge.Noiraud at free.fr > <mailto:Serge.Noiraud at free.fr>>: > > > Ed Freyfogle a ?crit : > > > Hi Sergio, > > sorry to hear you''re having difficulties. [Mapstraction] Function addListener for Marker object not implemented
Hi Luis, The documentation on the site is for version 1 of the library which you can also download from the site. The version in Google Code SVN is version 2 and this is currently unreleased and in a state of flux. As such there is no published documentation for that version however you can run the Ant build script when you check it out and this will generate docs appropriate for that build.
