Hi guys, I have been keeping an eye on mxn for a while now but I am not seeing much change on the API sandbox. Namely, the "Any provider" demo still does not work. I would love to use mxn in my project (http://placebook.tv ) but until I can leverage the multiple providers functionality it just aint gonna fly. I am also making quite heavy use of the google maps v3 geocoding services, would I be able to uses these services even if the current map was not a Google Map? Hi Clive, I''m not sure whether the API sandbox is up to date and that demo you mention is actually using v1, not v2 for some reason. Additionally the code in that example is incorrect and there''s a popup JavaScript alert that looks like it may be related to an API key being invalid. Hopefully Andrew can shed some light on the situation. v2 has come quite far although it''s still not up to the number of providers supported by v1, the major ones are all there. Have a look at the Google Code project here: http://code.google.com/p/mapstraction/ Cheers, <http://code.google.com/p/mapstraction/>Derek 2010/1/15 Clive Galway <evilc at evilc.hostedmsexchange.com>> Hi guys, I have been keeping an eye on mxn for a while now but I am not > seeing much change on the API sandbox. Thanks Derek, Any word on the services? Are services such as reverse and regular geocoding available via no matter what map provider you are viewing? Sorry, forgot to answer that bit. It''s usually possible to use the data returned from geocoding services with other map providers, yes. Have a look at the mapstraction geocoder as this wraps up the call for you. Don''t think it''s using google v3 at the moment though. The demo''s are using V1 - would someone like to update to v2? that would be super useful!
