It would be great to bring these pieces into Mapstraction. However, Mapstraction in general is under the more liberal BSD license. Would you consider relicensing your code under BSD so that it could be incorporated into Mapstraction proper? I''m concerned about the complexity of having mixed licenses in the same project (licensing is already too complex in general :)> > Moreover, we have developed a Drupal module, Mapstraction_CCK, not published > yet, that uses IDELab Mapstraction. Yes, this is ok. Mapstraction is not a trademark/copyright of anyone. It just must continue to abide by the BSD license and include attribution to the Mapstraction authors as outlined in the license preamble. Looking forward to the additions! 2009/11/12 Eduardo Riesco <eduardo.riesco at gmail.com>:> Hi Andrew, > > We can share our work with a BSD license. There is no problem. Hi Andrew, Finally we have our GitHub repository (http://github.com/idelab/mxn) where we share our mapstraction code. Please, consider add it to mapstraction so everyone benefits. We hope you like! 2009/11/11 Andrew Turner <ajturner at highearthorbit.com>> 2009/11/11 Eduardo Riesco <eduardo.riesco at gmail.com>: > > Mr. Turner, > > > > My name is Eduardo Riesco, I work at IDELab (idelab.uva.es) a > Geo-Laboratory > > belonging to University of Valladolid (Spain). > > > > At IDELab we have been some months working with Mapstraction V2, adding a > > lot of interesting features like interactivity, spanish Cartociudad > > provider, add or get features using GEOJSON format, Flamingo Flash > client, > > etc. Till now, we offer our work under a LGPL license in a dedicated > webpage > > (http://dev.idelab.uva.es/idelabmapstraction).
