Certainly we need to fix the project homepage to reflect this. It''s an
all volunteer effort so things get fixed or improved whenever someone
feels like doing it.

V2 is live and "out". I use it on a site that gets over 1 million
users a month without problems. That being said we don''t use every
underlying map provider.

That depends on the mapping providers. Mapstraction only provides a
consistent interface to do things the mapping providers support.
