Andrew,
I''m glad you liked it, thanks again to mapstraction.
I did make a few minor modifications to mapstraction. I had sent out emails
with the changes that I needed but didn''t hear back. I''ll do a
diff and let
you guys know.
I usually have the "View Source" button in the toolbar area for each
example
display the source but haven''t had a chance to add them to these
samples.
Yes, the code is written in Java which the GWT compiler compiles to
Javascript. Here''s the source code for the demos :
http://code.google.com/p/gwt-ext/source/browse/trunk/samples/maps/src/com/gwtext/sample/maps/client/?r=1652
and here''s the mapstraction Java API : http://gwt-ext.com/docs/2.0.3/
Its
under the widgets.map package.
There are still some issues with my demo which I think is the result of
having all the map providers loaded together - although it might be related
to mapstraction too. For example if you open the multiple maps portal
example, followed by another one, and then switch back to the multiple maps
example you''ll see a javascript onload error from mapstraction.
Also notice that the "Makers and Filters" demo had a marker with
GWT-Ext
rich controls. This demo only runs on Google Maps because only their API
supports adding elements to the marker, and not just vanilla html.
For those interested, here a link to the main gwt-ext showcase demo :

Thanks,
Sanjiv
