[Mapstraction] Problem rendering Yahoo! Maps via Mapstraction
I''m not sure if I''m doing something wrong or if there''s bug in Mapstraction (not seeing an error in Firebug, so I assume the former), but the Yahoo! Maps API returns blank tiles that read "We''re sorry, the data you have requested is unavailable." when I call it through Mapstraction. The Google Maps, OpenStreetMap, OpenLayers, and FreeEarth APIs all swap out fine and I am able to put a standard Yahoo map on the page. If someone could take a look and point me in the right direction, it would be much appreciated. <http://themechanism.com/demo/mapstraction/> Thanks, Jeffrey -- Cheers. Instead, just use the ''swap'' method. FYI - swapping map providers, while neat & useful, is sometimes fraught with problems as it becomes very dependent on how they''re used about reloading map tiles and the like. - With the Yahoo API, it looks like the markers from Flickr are all getting dropped at (0,0). Not sure why that''s happening - Yahoo API only supports the deprecated GeoRSS-W3C, but the Flickr feed has both simple and W3C (also kind of no-no), but one would assume the Flickr (yahoo company) and YMaps should work. By the way, nice demo.> > The Google Maps, OpenStreetMap, OpenLayers, and FreeEarth APIs all swap out > fine and I am able to put a standard Yahoo map on the page.
