[Mapstraction] feature matrix of map-provider specific functionality
Hi, I just started looking at Mapstraction and it talks about supporting the lowest common denominator of mapping functionality. Is there a feature matrix of map-provider specific functionality that is not part of this lowest common denominator functionality? Thanks, Sanjiv -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... [Mapstraction] feature matrix of map-provider specific functionality
Hi Sanjiv - There isn''t currently a feature matrix for Mapstraction, or all of the Mapping Providers. This is one we could all start putting together. A good approach is to use Mapstraction as much as possible (provided by the API) and then use mapstract.getMap() to make provider specific calls. This way you can then change those provider specific calls as Mapstraction API grows to cover them. [Mapstraction] feature matrix of map-provider specific functionality
Great, thanks for the quick response. A wiki entry on this would be very useful even if its just a empty table to provide a starting point that users can add to.
