Lustre discuss - Dec 2013 - lfs_migrate errors

Hello,
today I added a ost and trying to balance them and when I run 
lfs_migrate I get cannot swap layouts between <filename> and a volatile 
file (Operation not permitted)

I am running lustre-2.5.52

any help would be great.
