Hi All, I''m attempting lustre builds on centos 5.6 and 6.0. I''d like to install 2.1 on both. I''m following the instructions for 5.6 at: http://wiki.whamcloud.com/display/PUB/Walk-thru-+Build+Lustre+1.8+on+CentOS+5.5+or+5.6+from+Whamcloud+git When I run git: git clone git://git.whamcloud.com/fs/lustre-release.git I believe I''m installing a version of 1.8 with this command? The instructions for RHEL 6.0 for lustre 2.1 look the same. Is there a way to get the 2.1 sources for 5.6 or do I already have them? Thanks! Kris -- Mr. Kristen J. Webb Teradactyl LLC. ''git checkout 2.1.0-RC1'' to access the latest tag. Cheers, Johann -- Johann Lombardi Whamcloud, Inc. www.whamcloud.com

''git checkout 2.1.0-RC1'' to access the latest tag.Even easier is "git describe" which tells you the most recent tag, and how many commits your branch is beyond that tag: [adilger at cabot lustre-git]$ git describe 2.1.0-RC1-6-g434ab3e and at the top of lustre/autoconf/lustre-version.m4 is the version that will be used when building Lustre: [adilger at cabot lustre-git]$ head lustre/autoconf/lustre-version.ac m4_define([LUSTRE_MAJOR],[2]) m4_define([LUSTRE_MINOR],[1]) m4_define([LUSTRE_PATCH],[0]) m4_define([LUSTRE_FIX],[0]) Cheers, Andreas -- Andreas Dilger Principal Engineer Whamcloud, Inc.
