Will there ever be a 1.6.7.3 release? It seems some bugs from 1.6.7.2 have been addressed. 17336 18289 19453 19514 19539 19584 19586 19601 19697 19728 19754 19759 19788 20491 Is it best just to patch 1.6.7.2 or wait for 1.6.7.3?
We have no present plans for a 1.6.7.3 release though it is quite possible we will do one at some point. However, reviewing the first few of the bugs listed below I think maybe some clarification about how the flags work would alleviate your concerns in this area. A + flag is confirmation that the event has taken place, so "landed 1.6.7.2+" means that the patch is actually *in* the 1.6.7.2 release, not that it was landed *after* the 1.6.7.2 release. Thanks for the clarification. I really think we should have a Wiki page that shows the critical problems and their patches instead of looking at bugzilla. That would be very helpful. If there is a critical problem with a given release then we have a note on the lustre.org wiki front page until a newer release comes out. If you are talking about running older releases of Lustre (i.e. not the most current maintenance release for a given release stream) then I would think that the changelog is the most definitive source of information.
