Lustre discuss - Oct 2009 - b1_8 patchless client on 2.6.30

Dear list,

with  patch https://bugzilla.lustre.org/attachment.cgi?id=26155 and fixing
one last compile error (https://bugzilla.lustre.org/show_bug.cgi?id=19720#c28),
I get b1_8 to compile and load the client modules on vanilla 2.6.30.9.

However, mounting the lustre filesystem gives the following error:

Up to 2.6.28 vanilla kernels, mounting lustre on a patchless client with b1_8 is
fine.
Why do I see errors about ''unknown type: mgc'' on the client
side with 2.6.30?

When I remember correctly one module is not loaded automatically, try prior 
loading the module mgc by hand (modprobe mgc) then try again.
