I noticed on the Wiki that the Lustre 1.8 details have been included in the releases section. Is there an estimate on the date when it will be available for download ? The latest release on the site is 1.6.6. Tim Bell CERN

The latest release on the site is 1.6.6.The 1.8.0 release is currently feature-frozen and undergoing testing. The code under testing is currently the v1_8_0_RC1 tag in CVS, but we are definitely going to have at least an RC2 because there are known problems with the RC1 tag. The latest release target code is in the b_release_1_8_0 branch in CVS. We''re happy to have external testing, bugs should be filed against the 180-tracking bug alias. Also, as 1.8.0 rc cycle is started - this huge change will be not committed to 1.8.0, but 1.8.1 will have up to 2.6.27 support. -- Alex Lyashkov <Alexey.lyashkov at sun.com> Lustre Group, Sun Microsystems

I would be happy is testin, but still I cannot compile any version of Lustre 1.6 or 1.8. I would use FC8 but I hope it doesn''t matter. Can you show me a working version? Thank you, tamas
