Could somebody comment on the state of the root squashing in 1.6.5? It was meant to be there, but the May 2008 edition of the manual does not mention it. One would expect /proc/fs/lustre/mdt/rootsquash_uid, /proc/fs/lustre/mdt/rootsquash_gid and /proc/fs/lustre/mdt/rootsquash_nids to be available as of 1.6.5 (not there so far). Or was that postponed until 1.7? Thanks - Andrei. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... Or was that postponed until 1.7?Root should be in /proc/fs/lustre/mds/{MDS}/ in the 1.6.5 release. The files that I see are: # lctl get_param mds.*.*squash* mds.lustre-MDT0000.nosquash_nid=0@<0:0> mds.lustre-MDT0000.rootsquash=0:0 These files are of the form nosquash_nid={single NID which will not be squashed}, and "rootsquash={uid:gid to remap root access to}". Andreas, thanks for your comment! Does this notation mean that only one client may be granted no-squashing?
