Lustre discuss - Nov 2007 - problems with grub when installing lustre

When ever I install the lustre kernel rpm on rhel4  on our cluster,  
grub gets smashed,  when I try to reboot the node all i see in the  
upper left hand corner is:

GRUB _

with a flashing cursor,  Is this anything other have ran into?
