Hello CFS, I was wondering if the new SLES10 kernel will be part of the 1.6.4 release. It appears to be tracked by: https://bugzilla.lustre.org/show_bug.cgi?id=13874 As this contains a major security fix (privilege escalation), it is a mandatory upgrade in many places and it would be nice to not have to roll our own kernel. Thanks, Kit

Hi Jody, is there any ETA on 1.6.4? We have our next system maintenance scheduled for the second week of December and would want to roll out SLES10 SP1 and Lustre 1.6.4 to the system. Therefore we would need 1.6.4 about 3-4 weeks earlier (about Nov. 19) to deploy to our sandbox for sanity and performance testing. Is that realizable? Thanks a bunch! Hi Jody, one more question regarding the upcoming Lustre 1.6.4: What kernel version (for the SLES10 branch) will be the starting point for the Lustre patch? We have an update ready to -0.16 that will appear in 1.6.5. No changes to the patches were necessary, so if you''re comfortable rebuilding everything yourself, just update lustre/kernel_patches/targets/2.6-sles10.target.in to reflect the new version.
