[Lustre-discuss] DEAR SIR , Would you please answer me a question about Lustre Network Raid 5 setup? Thanks!
Dear Sir: Thank you for reading my E-Mail, From this URLhttps://mail.clusterfs.com/pipermail/lustre-discuss/2007-January/002794.html As you see,the questiong 1 is: > 1. Can i use lustre like a network raid 5 storage system if > one of the nodes fail do the others have a copy of the > complete data to continue working. And your answer is: Raid5 mode is not avilible in lustre today, there is a possibility in the future. Mostly people run raid underneath lustre. Also there is a possibility for failover between two hosts using a shared disk. Because I am trying to use lustre like a network raid 5 storage system. IfRaid5 mode is not avilible in lustre today, I need to look further for an other solution. Are you sure your answer(Raid5 mode is not avilible in lustre today) is right? I will be appreciate for your reply, thanks a lot! yours: Benimaru -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
