Dear Sirs, I am trying build OFED rpms so I can install it on kernel- smp-2.6.5-7.283_lustre.1.4.9.x86_64, my intention to use infiniband but I am facing problems in building the rpms./ Any idea? Note I got OFED version 1.2.25 Thanks and Best Regards H. N. Hello, I am surprised by this sentence "you should upgrade to 1.6.2 for OFED 1.2". Indeed, a previous thread named "build errors with OFED1.2" which describes OFED1.2 compilation problem with 1.4.10 announced the following : "We have landed our fix for OFED1.2 already, it will be available in next release." So I thought OFED1.2 was supported and OK from 1.4.11 and not especially with a 1.6.X ? https://mail.clusterfs.com/pipermail/lustre-discuss/2007-June/003490.html Regards C?dric Brian J. That was on June 20th. Notice that 1.4.11 was released on June 22. It takes more than 2 days to code freeze and go through testing cycles in order to release. So on June 20th "landed ... next release" would mean 1.4.12, which has not been released yet. So yes, OP could wait for 1.4.12, or could get immediate relief with 1.6.2.> So I thought OFED1.2 was supported and OK from 1.4.11 and not especially > with a 1.6.X ?See the changelog: http://www.clusterfs.com/changelog-1.4.html Specifically for 1.4.11 it only supports OFED 1.1. Cheers, b.

Thanks for explanation. I don''t need to worry any more : I am not obliged to have a 1.6 release to have OFED1.2 support :-) Regards C?dric Brian J.
