Lustre discuss - Jul 2007 - Lustre 1.6.x with 1.5.95 and FC6/RHEL4?

Hi List,

I have an OSS running an embedded port of Lustre 1.5.95 (Linux is a
vanilla 2.6.18.3).  Will a 1.6.x client/MDS work with a 1.5.95 OSS, or
are these versions too incompatible?

For the MDS/clients: Can I use Fedora Core 6 for i686? Are there any
existing 1.5.95 (or later) rpms, or will I have to build my own from
source in order to use FC6?

Or would it just be better to get RHEL4 for the MDS/clients and install
the kernel-lustre-smp-2.6.9-42.EL_lustre.1.5.95.i686.rpm (& friends)
from the CFS download?
