Hi Rupesh, I have two lustre clustre, one is 1.4.7 and other is 1.4.9.1. My question is whether I can mount 1.4.7 on 1.4.9.1 client and vvce versa On 4/9/07, Rupesh Thakare <rupesh@clusterfs.com> wrote:> > Yes, rishi > it is necessary to have lustre kernel running on the client. > There are several functionalities needed at client side which are in > lustre kernel. > > Regards, > Rupesh. > > rishi pathak wrote: > > > > Is it necessary to have lustre kernel running on th client. > > -- > > Regards-- > > Rishi Pathak > > National PARAM Supercomputing Facility > > Center for Development of Advanced Computing(C-DAC) > > Pune University Campus,Ganesh Khind Road > > Pune-Maharastra > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------ > > > > _______________________________________________ > > Lustre-discuss mailing list > > Lustre-discuss@clusterfs.com > > https://mail.clusterfs.com/mailman/listinfo/lustre-discuss > > >-- Regards-- Rishi Pathak National PARAM Supercomputing Facility Center for Development of Advanced Computing(C-DAC) Pune University Campus,Ganesh Khind Road Pune-Maharastra -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... Thanks, But we are using 1.4.7 and 1.4.9.1.So I guess we will have to go with patched kernel at the client side. And for the question I asked about mounting 1.4.7 lustre fs on 1.4.9.1client and vice versa...It''s working Thanks again to Kalpak and Rupesh Do you guys work at CFS On 4/9/07, Kalpak Shah <kalpak@clusterfs.com> wrote:> > Hi, > > On Mon, 2007-04-09 at 13:59 +0530, rishi pathak wrote: > > Hi Rupesh, > > I have two lustre clustre, one is 1.4.7 and other is > > 1.4.9.1.
