I''m exporting Lustre filesystems via NFS on lustre-1.5.95 (Ubuntu Dapper system, 2.6.15 kernel, patched not patchless), but I''m getting an odd issue. When I mount a filesystem via NFS on a client and do a "du", it works fine, once. After that, subsequent du''s (or ls''s) only partially work, giving stale NFS file handles on various directories (differing in quantity with each attempt, sometimes with almost no errors other times with lots). The NFS server/Lustre client has "find_exported_dentry: npd != pd" errors in dmesg (even for the first successful du). If I unmount and remount on the NFS client, it works fine again but, as before, only once. I''ve tried different NFS protocols and versions with no effect. Is this a known issue with NFS-exporting from this version of Lustre? Maybe an issue with the jrd patches for 2.6.15? Thanks, Brent Nelson Director of Computing Dept. of Physics University of Florida
