Hi, Till now I have tried lustre on loopback devices. Now if I want to just compare lustre behaviour with ext3 will having it on loopback back devices give correct results? if I create loopback devices for the mds and osts it means that there is no partition created hence is it actually formed under root? In that case since it would be under ext3 then comparing it against ext3 will be of no use since it will go through ext3. Now if I partition the hard disk and create devices for the mds and osts then lustre would be on a different partition. Will that be better to actually understand and evaluate lustre? Thanks Priya -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL: http://mail.clusterfs.com/pipermail/lustre-discuss/attachments/20060713/9e1dd398/attachment.html
