[Lustre-discuss] unable to understand the lock and resource version
In section 7.7. Lock Version/ Value Blocks of "The Lustre Storage Architecture"(03/04/2004), it is said that the lock version information can be used by applications to communicate what version of the resource they want to lock. My question is: 1)why dose a resource has a version information and 2)what is this version used for. Please give some explaination. Thanks!
