That was fixed in the 1.2 release of Lustre, and version 1.2.4 is available for public download at the Lustre download page. It is really recommended that all people using the 1.0.x version upgrade to the 1.2.4 version because there were many bugs fixed. http://www.lustre.org/downloads.html Cheers, Andreas -- Andreas Dilger Principal Software Engineer Cluster File Systems, Inc.

[Lustre-discuss] About the space in the lustre partition
Hello, I am using lusre with kernel 2.4.20-28.9_lustre.1.0.2smp on Scientific linux 3. I followed the HOWTO and tried the single mode of lustre, everything is fine. But I have a problem here. While I mount the lustre file system on /mnt/lustre, I try to copy a large file and its size is bigger than the available space in /mnt/lustre. The kernel doesn''t give any error message or warning while the space is no longer available. Does anybody has a solution ? Thanks a lot!
