Hi, while testing the lustre 1.2.4 public release in a RHEL3 2.4.21-20.ELsmp kernel on ia32 I found that hot-adding SCSI devices is broken by the lustre kernel patch. echo "scsi add-single-device 1 0 1 0" >/proc/scsi/scsi leads repeatedly to a kernel panic. The call trace shows something like: scsi_request_fn [scsi_mod] scsi_queue_next_request [scsi_mod] scsi_unblock_requests [scsi_mod] ahc_linux_release_simq [aic7xxx] ... Thought I''d better report this. If it''s a known issue: apologies for the wasted bandwidth. Regards, Erich
