[Lustre-discuss] location of llmount.sh and other scripts
I have found that they pretty much work for the basic configuration. As already mentioned use ldiskfs not ext3. Skip the ''Quick Set Up'' section and start at ''Using Supplied Configuration Tools'' instead making your own configuration file. You might find the docs are not up-to-date. As an example, with the 2.6.5/1.4.0 kernel, you don''t specify ext3 as the fstype when formatting the volume, you specify ldiskfs. But ldiskfs isn''t mentioned anywhere in the docs. -jwb

[Lustre-discuss] location of llmount.sh and other scripts
Hi Jeffrey, Thank you for letting me know about that. Are there more up-to-date docs anywhere that describe how to configure and Lustre? Do you know where I can find the examples referred to in the Wiki? It would be absolutely great if someone updated the Wiki for the 2.6.5/1.4.0 system. Thanks, Lex On Sat, 12 Feb 2005, Jeffrey Baker wrote:> You might find the docs are not up-to-date. [Lustre-discuss] location of llmount.sh and other scripts
Hi, Which package contains the files llmount.sh and local.sh. llmount.sh is said to be located in /usr/lib/lustre/examples by the HOWTO, but it isn''t clear to me which package deposits the shell script there? The lustre-lite-utils package I downloaded puts only a subdirectory named python in /usr/lib/lustre. Thanks, Lex
