The lustre-1.0.4.tar.gz is for people who do not use the RPMs. Or have I misunderstood why you are trying to rebuild? Thanks-- -Phil
Hi, I am trying to install lustre on 2 sun V60 machines, dual Xeon 3.0 with 2 gig ram and dual STA HDD. The following are the step I have followed. Installed linux 7.3 off the redhat disks. Upgraded to modutils-2.3.18.2 and its devel too. have readline-4.2a-4 and readline-devel-4.2a-4 libxml2-2.4-19.4 and same devel version downloaded and installed the kernel-smp-2.4.20-28.9_luster.1.0.4.i586.rpm and this installed the smp kernel without any problem and also installed the luster-lite-utils-<same version as above>.i586.rpm using rpm -ivh command. I have rpm-4.0.4-7x.18 (if this info helps!) installed the kernel source rpm using rpm --rebuild of the above version. untared luster-1.0.4 tried to install luster using the following steps ./configure --with-linux=/usr/src/linux-2.4.20-28.9_luster.1.0.4/ this went on smooth and when I tried to do make install I get the following error message when it is trying to make debug.o in /usr/lustre-1.0.4/portals/utils in file included from debug.c:48 /usr/include/linux/module.h:60 parse error before ''atomic_t'' /usr/include/linux/module.h:60: warning no semicolon at the end of struct or union /usr/include/linux/module.h:62: parse error before ''}'' debug.c in function jt_dbg_modules debug.c: 569 sise of applied to an incomplete type make [2]: *** [debug.o]Error 1 make [2]: Leaving directory ''/usr/luster-1.0.4/portals/utils'' make [1]: *** [install-recursive] Error 1 make [1]: Leaving directory ''usr/luster-1.0.4/portals'' make: *** [install-recursive] Error 1 Any help would be really great.
