Lustre 1.4.x, to be released soon, corrects this in many ways. -Phil
I''m actually doing the same thing, but just researching what needs to
be
done at the moment. One of the things that bothers me about this is the
kernel patch that needs to be made. Right now, all my machines (about
20 of them) update themselves automatically through the RedHat Network
and this includes kernel updates.
If I understand this corretly, the kernel patch needs to be made anytime
there is a kernel update and I''m not to keen on doing this. Am I
reading this wrong?

Subject: [Lustre-discuss] Luster Implementation
Howdy,
I have been trying to implement a Luster file system and I have
been having some problem. I actually ahve some hardware questions. I
know that I need to connect the clients, MDS and OST on the same
network. Is Gigabit ehternet a good option? Will that be enough for
multipe clients to connect to a single OST ? And also is possible to
export a LusterFS using NFS ( this is just for testing purposes ) ?
take care
