Sorry.Yeah, I found that out. A simple fix got me past the above problem, and one or two others got the kernel to compile and run. Then I got bogged-down trying to get the 1.0.4 distribution to compile against the 2.6.0 kernel sources, in particular at the ''llite/rw24.c'' file. The Lustre CVS sources have a ''llite/rw26.c'', but overall they seemed worse than the 1.0.4. So I gues I''m sticking to the 2.4.24 kernel for a while. David S.> >

For more information, please visit http://clusterfs.com/download-v1_2.html and http://clusterfs.com/techsupport.html This version will be released to the general public under the GPL sometime later this year, after Lustre 1.4.x is available to customers. -Phil

What you found in the source tree was just a beginning. Sorry. -Phil
I have been successful in creating a vanilla 2.6.5, with the lustre 1.2 sources. The filsystem on HEAD seems to have a few bugs still, but it does mount and accept files. I''ve applied the "kgdb_2.6.0" series from the ''lustre-1.0.4'' distribution to a vanilla 2.6.0 kernel sources. The build dies with the error CC arch/i386/kernel/traps.o arch/i386/kernel/traps.c: In function `is_kernel_text_address'': arch/i386/kernel/traps.c:1051: error: structure has no member named `next'' arch/i386/kernel/traps.c:1055: warning: implicit declaration of function `mod_bound'' make[1]: *** [arch/i386/kernel/traps.o] Error 1 make: *** [arch/i386/kernel] Error 2 This is on an x86 (ia32) system, using gcc version 3.3.3. I''d be grateful for any assistance anyone could offer. David S.
