Lustre discuss - May 2006 - 2.6 Kernel Support

Phil,
  Thanks for the update!  Hopefully all the resources needed to finish
the port come together soon.  I wounder if there is enough community
interest in this to help the porting process along?

Lustre for 2.6 is functional, but not fully debugged, and has not yet
been updated to 2.6.0 final.  It lags behind the 2.4 port mainly because

I would estimate that about 80% of the Lustre code is the same between
2.4 and 2.6.  Most of the hard work is in cross-platform code, and will
not have to be redone.
