Lustre discuss - May 2006 - Lustre / linux clusters / other solutions

Christoph,  This is a little of the topic of your
original e-mail about client performance, but
wondering if you have configured Lustre to accommodate
redundant data storages?  I curious if you were
testing with the generic / older kernels supplied by
the Lustre group or are you patching the kernel on a
distribution like Fedora?  Have you used other
distributed file systems like coda, Intermezzo,
OpenAFS, LPVS?  How do they compare?
