[Lustre-devel] [Bug 11932] SLES 10 lustre-modules rpm dependencies are broken

More post-installation modifications of the build images. Not good. We really need to put a ban on modifying the build images. The root of this problem really goes back to trying to use a single monolithic kernel.spec file to build a kernel that will make 4 or more O/S and/or versions happy. IMHO the proper fix here is to abandon that monolithic kernel.spec and start using the vendor''s own kernel.spec files and simply adding a lustre patch to it. A phase in could be done in which we use that monolithic .spec for the current releases (i.e. the RHELs and SLES9) that it works on an just start using vendor kernel.specs for anything new we support. The monolithic .spec will eventually die of attrition.
