[Lustre-announce] Lustre 1.4.0.10 (1.4.1 release candidate 1)
Today we released Lustre 1.4.0.10, a release candidate for Lustre 1.4.1. Although we''ve tested these fixes exhaustively, this version is not recommended for mission-critical clusters requiring extremely high uptimes. We hope that customers with test clusters or less concern about 100% uptime will give us feedback on this build. Among its many fixes -- detailed as always at http://www.clusterfs.com/changelog.html -- is proper locking for coherent mmap() support, first attempted in Lustre 1.2.7. Although we believe that we got it right this time, given the problems that we had with mmap support in the past, we are making this release candidate available in the hopes that we''ll get additional feedback before we certify it as "production ready". Partners, customers, and evaluators can download it from the usual location. Please visit http://www.clusterfs.com/download.html Thank you for your assistance; as always, you can report issues via Bugzilla (https://bugzilla.clusterfs.com/) or email (support@clusterfs.com) - The Lustre Team --
